A largely self-taught artist, Sharon attributes her eye for detail to her passion for writing and reading, and her current subject matter to her love of gardening.

In striving to capture their ephemeral beauty, her floral portraits are inspired by the calming and meditative experience of gardening. She feels that if her works can provide anything of that quiet contemplation for others, then she will have accomplished something very special.
