Linda Welch is a York Region photographer and artist. Her work reveals an appreciation for colour, pattern and light; portraying beauty within the mundane and capturing timeless moments which trigger a memory or tell a story.

A longtime watercolour artist now branching out into oils, she also organizes painting and photography tours for artists to Southern France, Ireland and Andalucia, Spain. On Location Artists’ Holidays helps artists to improve their photography and develop their artistic skills.

Though primarily self-taught, she studied street and travel photography in various locations around the world with professionals to learn their techniques.

Linda is the President of the Society of York Region Artists (SOYRA), Past President of Kingcrafts Studio and a founding director of the Arts Society King. In a previous life, she taught secondary school Media Literacy, Animation, Computer Graphics and Television Studio Production with York Region School Board.
