Welcome to the Society of York Region Artists!
We are a non-profit organization serving all of the nine municipalities belonging to the Regional Municipality of York in Ontario, Canada. Our home base is located in Aurora, Ontario.
For the past 38 years, SOYRA has been offering artists like you the opportunity to exhibit and sell their artwork as well as providing a strong base for artists to network and establish friendships with fellow artists and other likeminded creative people.

2025 SOYRA Fall Art Show & Sale
Submissions Now Open!
Submissions are now open for this year's SOYRA Fall Art Show & Sale!
This juried show will be held at Aurora Town Hall, 2nd Floor, in the SOYRA Gallery. The show will run two full days; Saturday, September 20 & Sunday September 21, with a Gala Opening Reception on Friday, September 19.
A great opportunity for members. Don't miss out!
The deadline for submissions is August 24 at 11:59PM.
Plein Air Events
Plein Air events are going strong! Each month, SOYRA has a location confirmed. Members are invited to join as these locations all offer excellent setting to paint en plein air and enjoy an outing with fellow artists.

We're Moving to the SOYRA Gallery!
It's official! As of Fall 2025, SOYRA will have it's headquarters located at Aurora Town Hall, Second Floor, 100 John West Way, Aurora ON, in the SOYRA Gallery.
This is a great opportunity for SOYRA and the membership. Monthly meetings will be held here as well as any workshops and upcoming special events. More to come regarding this.
Starting in September, our monthly meetings will be moved to Wednesdays and will be held at Aurora Town Hall, Second Floor in the SOYRA Gallery. Same time, same great presenters, same good company.

Fall 2025 Show Announcements
Our year end Smallworks show is also a go for this year and will be held at a new and exciting location. Dates are scheduled for November 21 to 23.
Venues will be confirmed soon so stay tuned.
