Welcome to the Society of York Region Artists!
We are a non-profit organization serving all of the nine municipalities belonging to the Regional Municipality of York in Ontario, Canada. Our home base is located in Aurora, Ontario.
For the past 39 years, SOYRA has been offering artists like you the opportunity to exhibit and sell their artwork as well as providing a strong base for artists to network and establish friendships with fellow artists and other likeminded creative people.

NEW Plein Air Events​

As ​we begin our journey into 2026, we continue to plan upcoming events for SOYRA members to participate in and enjoy. Judging by the show of hands at our January meeting, when asked about plein air, many members indicated they were interested in the art of painting outdoors. We were thrilled to see this! Moving forward, we have a plan to again offer members monthly opportunities to paint 'en plein air' with other SOYRA members!​​​​​​​
We're Moving to the SOYRA Gallery!

It's official! As of Fall 2025, SOYRA will have it's headquarters located at Aurora Town Hall, Second Floor, 100 John West Way, Aurora ON, in the SOYRA Gallery.
​
This is a great opportunity for SOYRA and its membership. Monthly members meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of the month at Aurora Town Hall.
Doors open at 6:30 PM giving you half an hour to network with members before the meeting begins at 7:00 PM.
